Project Description

The Extension of the Parallel Taxiway at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) is a landmark aviation infrastructure project and the first full-length Parallel Taxiway in Nepal, designed to international aviation standards. Successfully executed by Ashish Nirman Sewa Pvt. Ltd., the project includes the construction of a 1,400-meter-long Parallel Taxiway (TWY-P), a 1,105-meter Reinforced Earth (RE) Wall with a fascia area of 18,288 m², additional connecting taxiways, airfield ground lighting (AGL), drainage networks, service roads, and associated airport infrastructure. The project has significantly enhanced aircraft movement efficiency, increased airport operational capacity, reduced runway occupancy time, and improved overall aviation safety, establishing a new benchmark for airport infrastructure development in Nepal.
